Dr Adam Thompson - Our Parliamentary candidate

The next election is our chance to transform our country and take on the vested interests holding ordinary people back. To achieve that goal, we need the best possible member of parliament to deliver for local people in Erewash.

Dr Adam Thompson is a scientist with a history of getting the job done in our community, and Erewash Labour’s Parliamentary Candidate. In his day job, Adam is a research scientist working in manufacturing engineering, developing advanced manufacturing technologies. Adam holds a strong advocacy for increasing the number of expert voices in local and national government and the general science literacy of British politics.

Adam is known locally for his ability to provide reason and measured debate, and for facilitating consensus between people with differing opinions.

Adam cares very much about restoring our NHS, bringing climate change to heel and getting a good deal for our community in Erewash, where he lives. Adam has lived here since 2015, and in his current home in Long Eaton since 2019.
